Beaumont Carved Gilt Crest Bed | Classical French Upholstered Headboard Bed Frame for Luxury Bedrooms - EKAR FURNITURE
The bed is the piece that decides how a bedroom feels, and the Beaumont Carved Gilt Crest Bed by EKAR FURNITURE is built to settle a room rather than shout over it. It is a classical French bed frame finished in a pale, washed cream tone, with warm gilded carving worked along the crest of the headboard and repeated at lower weight along the footboard and rails. The headboard itself is a tall, shaped frame with a soft padded upholstered panel set into its centre, and the whole bed stands on small carved feet with a light, draped skirt running along the base. Because the body is pale and only the carving carries gold, the piece reads as light and airy from a distance rather than heavy, and as detailed and hand-finished when you stand close to it. We build this bed as a bespoke custom furniture frame in our Foshan furniture factory, for clients who want a French classical bed with softness in it rather than a solid, ornate block.
The headboard is where the design sits. Its outer frame is shaped rather than square, the top rail rising gently to a carved crest at the centre and falling away in a soft, continuous curve toward each shoulder, so the outline of the bed reads as drawn rather than constructed. Along that rail runs fine hand carving in leaf and scroll forms, picked out in warm gold so the pattern shows clearly against the pale ground. Set inside the frame is a padded, upholstered panel, buttoned and filled to a soft, even face, so the part of the bed you actually lean against is comfortable rather than a hard carved board. That pairing of carved outer frame and soft inner panel is what keeps the headboard tall without making it feel imposing, and it gives the bed a natural place to rest against while reading or dressing in the morning.
Below, the footboard repeats the same language at a lower, calmer pitch. It is built as an open carved frame in the same pale finish, its top rail shaped and crested along the centre so the line of the bed carries cleanly from head to foot, and the carving along it is lighter than the headboard so the eye is led back toward the wall rather than stopped at the end of the bed. The side rails are shaped and carved to match, and the whole frame is raised on small carved feet with a soft skirt falling beneath, which hides the under-bed area and lets bedding sit neatly without touching the floor. The gilding is applied and finished by hand, so the gold reads warm rather than flat, and the pale ground is laid on in thin, even coats and checked in-house so it holds its tone through daily use. As export furniture, the frame, joints, and fixings are built to travel and to be assembled cleanly on site.
In the room, the Beaumont works as a master bedroom bed, where its height and pale tone give the whole space a centre without darkening it, and equally well in a guest suite, a bridal or honeymoon room, or the bedroom of a boutique hotel and serviced residence. Because the finish is pale with only warm accents, the bed pairs naturally with soft rose, cream, champagne, powder blue, and muted sage linens, and sits comfortably alongside gilt mirrors, crystal lighting, carved wardrobes, and pale lacquered tables. It suits Haussmann-style apartments, classical villas, and modern interiors that carry one deliberately ornate piece. Demand for this kind of French classical bed is strong in the India import furniture market, where importers in Mumbai and New Delhi look for generously built, hand-finished bedroom furniture for villas, penthouses, and hospitality interiors, where a bed has to carry the room and still stand up to everyday use.
Choosing EKAR means working with a high-end furniture customization factory that builds a bed frame as carefully as it finishes one. The crest carving is worked by hand so the curve of the top rail reads continuous, the gilding is laid on and burnished in-house to sit warm and even, the upholstered panel is filled and buttoned to a firm, soft face that keeps its shape, the frame is joined and braced so it stays quiet and level, and the feet are carved and fitted to hold the stance squarely. This is the standard of our Foshan custom furniture factory, where each bed is built, checked, and prepared for international shipping, and where the finish can be adjusted to your own palette of ground colour and gold. Whether it stands in a townhouse in London, a penthouse in Dubai, or a hotel suite in Mumbai, the Beaumont brings a light, warm, and quietly grand piece into the room.
